JPMorgan Chase is debuting its 'Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club' concept as it competes other credit issuers for business.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to make Dallas Fort Worth International Airport one of the first locations in the U.S. for its new lounges.

The airport board will consider approval of a lease for the new lounge in Terminal D at its monthly meeting this week. The 10-year lease would provide DFW with an annual minimum guarantee of $6.45 million with 3% increases each year, according to board documents. New York-based JPMorgan Chase wants to bring its “Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club” concept to airports across the country as competition between credit card issuers remains fierce. Two of the financial giant’s biggest rivals in the space, American Express and Capital One, already operate their own lounges,JPMorgan Chase has contracted with Plano-based lounge provider Airport Dimensions, a subsidiary of global travel company Collinson Group, to deliver its lounges.

To date, JPMorgan has confirmed four lounges to be located at Boston Logan International Airport, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Philadelphia International Airport. A spokesman for the bank declined to comment regarding DFW.
