Effective June 1, Olsen will replace Ernie Freedman.

According to a news release, Freedman will provide advisory services through Mar. 31, 2024, as part of a consulting agreement with the company.

"Jon has been with us since nearly the inception of our company and has been integrally involved in our growth and success,", co-founder, president and CEO of Invitation Homes, said in the release."Further, his deep understanding of the business and strategy, his strong internal and external relationships, and his decade of impressive achievements on behalf of the company give us high confidence that he is the right leader to carry on the strong CFO tradition at Invitation Homes.

Olsen currently serves as the company's executive vice president of Corporate Strategy & Finance, having been in the role since 2020. Olsen has been a part of Invitation Homes since 2012, serving in various leadership positions throughout his tenure. Before joining the company, he worked in real estate investment groups at Goldman Sachs, Banc of America Securities, and Jeffries & Company.

“On behalf of myself, the management team, the board and the entire company, I want to express my deepest appreciation and gratitude to Ernie for his invaluable contributions and dedication to Invitation Homes over the last seven-plus years,” Tanner said in the release.
