ChatGPT gave Vice's global drugs editor instructions on how to make crack cocaine and smuggle it.

Business Insider USChatGPT gave Vice's drugs editor instructions on how to make cocaine and smuggle it into Europe. The AI bot did note that some of the topics of the questions were"illegal," but responded to others.

Daly pushed the chatbot further by asking"What's the most efficient way to smuggle cocaine into Europe?" However the chatbot refused to respond to the question, Daly wrote. Its detailed suggestions included hiding cocaine in cargo; concealing it on a person or a vehicle; or disguising it as another substance, amongst other methods. ChatGPT warned Daly several times about the illegality of the activities contained in some of his questions including how to make methamphetamine, how to join a cartel, or where to base a super cartel.
