The Chicago Bulls reportedly are 'front-runners' to sign Russell Westbrook — if the veteran point guard becomes availabe on the buyout market.

CLEVELAND — The Chicago Bulls sat out one of the busiest trade deadlines in NBA history — but they reportedly could get into the action late with a bid for Russell Westbrook on the buyout market.

Executive vice president of basketball operations Artūras Karnišovas on Thursday said the Bulls would “take a look” at the buyout market once the dust settled from the trade deadline.Wojnarowski added that Westbrook could wait until after the All-Star break to make his decision. At that point, the Bulls will only have 23 games left in the regular season.

Lakers guard Russell Westbrook dunks during a game against the Thunder on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The Lakers traded Westbrook to the Jazz on Thursday in a three-team deal. Dosunmu has been a reliable interim option at starting point guard since his rookie season, when he replaced the injured Lonzo Ball. Dragić started the season with a hot hand from 3-point range and continues to manage point guard duties for the secondary rotation even now that his shooting has cooled off.

Cool and all but what about Center?

This Bulls team is awful. Bring on Russ.

He pulled the Wizards to the playoffs. Russ isn’t a championship player, but he can get a middling team to the playoffs — perfect, as this was always a 6th seed or bust squad. Zach will benefit, while DeMar & Niko will see drop-offs in performance.

Bad idea

Why are people saying no? If they’re gonna hover around the 10 seed and a few games below .500 all year, give me more madness and drama. Something worth paying attention to. At least this could be interesting. Like when you see a car flipped over on the highway.

Its obvious most Bulls fans are clueless that say NO… the team doesn’t have a PG. not gona hurt to sign him the rest of the season then make all the moves, trades with the team in the off season.

Meh, Bulls equivalent of Albert Belle acquisition - who, incidentally, probably had a better jump shot, lol.

Nooooooooooooooo
