Meriwest's outgoing CEO, Julie Kirsch, is credited with more than doubling the credit union's assets in a decade.

Feb 13, 2023, 5:05pm PSTThe San Jose-based financial institution announced Friday that CEO Julie Kirsch is retiring. Lisa Pesta, the company's chief operating officer, will succeed her as head of the company, which the Business Journal ranked as the sixth largest credit union in Silicon Valley in 2022.

"I feel incredibly honored that my predecessor and our board of directors gave me the encouragement and platform to pursue the many opportunities I felt passionate about," Kirsch, who has been with the institution for more than 31 years, said in theDuring her time as CEO, Kirsch more than doubled the amount of assets at the credit union to $2.2 billion, according to the news release.
