Entrepreneur Will Blum says drinking used to have little appeal to him because of the way it made him feel.
“The best way to make a new alcohol is to launch in a new market,” Blum said. “So we test marketed in Texas, California, New York and Florida. We launched in New York Jan. 5 and are spending the first year focusing on volume, and our goal on volume is 200,000 cases.” Blum is currently in talks with Winn-Dixie and ABC Liquors and has secured distribution through Empire Merchants in New York and North Florida Sales, which is an Anheuser-Busch network. Bluebird Hardwater will be available for sale at select liquor stores in both markets and online in 23 states.
