PUTRAJAYA: Three company directors have been arrested for allegedly accepting bribes amounting to RM15mil to help secure a project for the construction of a base in Pahang.

The three are aged between 40 and 50 and were nabbed when they were summoned for their statements to be recorded at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters at 8.30pm on Tuesday .“The two others, also holding the position of company directors, are believed to have asked and received bribes in the guise that the money will be handed over to a former minister,” a source said on Wednesday .

The suspects were brought before Magistrate Irza Zulaikha Rohanuddin who allowed for the trio to be remanded for three days until Feb 17. MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that arrests had been made and an investigation into the case had started.
