The shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. in the 200 block of York Street, police said. The man later died from his injuries.
There has been a heavy police presence in the area since the shooting. Several roads in the area remained closed as of 9 a.m. Cumberland Street is closed between Murray and Clarence streets. Murray and Clarence streets are both closed between Dalhousie and Cumberland streets.More to come…

_MarkSutcliffe I walked through the Market this past weekend with my family. Wow has it changed and changed for the worse. It used to be a regular part of our weekend - no longer is and won’t be until a major change and clean up happens. So sad to see things so bad.
