taxfraudhunter Where are you going to put the money? double your acas?

If the housing market crashes £ billions will be wiped off the UK's disposable wealth. The knock effect in other sectors would be worse. In addition, thousands will be forced into negative equity. Probably a recession.

Have you been brought by the Daily Express?

I’m sorry but how will house prices fall?

Surely, given the rest of your editorial line on this, it's going to be a bed of rose petals? Perhaps you should have a word with your property writers?

No

The uk is a small island with a shortage of housing! There will be no slump.

By a hard Brexit most likely, but as the UK will after that be all but in name the 51 state of America, it could be that mass Americans can fill the space between.

A home is a place where you live , we all need a place to live .We saw in the past what happens to folks who use their house as a cash point it's those who are in debt who should possibly worry,,if house prices fall .Never say never.

........everyone’s turned into Mystic Meg! x

Yes if in serious and can't pay your bills or mortgage. If not why sell, property prices go up & down. Some areas have seen record rises in property prices, so there's going to be a levelling out. If you don't need to sell/move just sit tight. There needs to be more affordable!!

Save your money and wait until after Brexit and still pay the over inflated prices you pay now. House prices are based on an opinion of what someone thinks it's worth and then everyone follows suit. At the end of the day its a government cash cow right up until you die and beyond

Load of tosh, one brick short of a load report.

Beat what crash?

Says ‘newspaper’ advocating Brexit shame

More scaremongering, if you do sell can you make sure the rented accommodation is outside the UK that the UK tax payer will not be financing to unscrupulous land lords.

Sell now - buy later at 25% discount

Yes if all they/he is doing is buying property to look to sell it on as an investment.. Brexit will have no influence, if it drops in price more people will be able to afford to buy.. pushing prices back up again ..

That's odd. Two property experts I've spoken to over the last week have both said the expect property prices to rise by as much as 4%.

Too late!

Have you forgotten about the big housing slump in 1990 which lasted for quite a few years and then had the 3% stamp duty imposed on housing market which made it even worse!

Nah

That wud depend, I wud assume most ppl that have bought house was 2 set up a home 2 live in not 4 investment purposes.

Great way to encourage a crash 👏🙄

i'll string you along and offer you 10K less each month, for a year.

Get a grip!

I piad off by mortgage and never bought it as an investment, It a home so don't care if house prices drop, in fact it would give new time buyers a break which they need. Mute point though as pure scare story

Hope so. We need a reduction in property prices to peg them to salaries again. Sorry if you bought in an inflated market.

With a so called national housing shortage, my guess is the normal supply and demand rules will apply and the demand for housing will outweight any brexit influence and keep prices stable at worst.

So on that basis why wouldn’t buyers wait for the crash he predicts ?

In other words 'should home buyers gamble on Brexit not negatively affecting the property market?'. Otherwise the sellers won't be able to sell before April!

Imagine if there is no Brexit prices will be more likely to go the upside and those 136000 first time buyers will be scrambling to buy at even higher prices. Timing a market is very difficult.

I did this.

I don’t believe any reduction in price would be severe enough to make selling then buying at the bottom economically viable. If your a remainder and you think leave is gonna be catastrophic then this is what you need to consider

There won't be one. Simple as.

Idiots at large

No because the number of people in the world is growing hugely and they will need houses. It's all about the numbers.

so when Brexit happens, then it seems there will be 136,000 first time buyers all going for the same houses.....so prices could soar!

Comedy gold 😄😄😄😄😄

One born every minute.... perhaps this fool is moving abroad😂

Yes they should all sell their houses and go to live in the eu that they love so much, bye bye you won’t be missed

House price crash is to do with the largest debt levels in history not Brexit.

Don’t talk bollocks!

Assuming that the majority of ‘home’ owners live in the only ‘home’ they own, I must assume that you over privileged, Tory, multiple ‘home’ owners are speaking to yourselves......🙄

Another bloody scare story

Fake news! Stop

Couldn't give a f*$k what they do. Houses should be for living in, not for making money from. Bring on the slump!

What a stupid article!

Selling to whom? I think most will wait for crash to show its face.

What have you helped create Telegraph? Hands up those who voted to be poorer?

No. 🙄

And where will you live when you sell?

There'll be no house price crash. In fact the exact opposite.

No.

I’m buying.

Yes because all of a sudden people won’t need houses...

The housing crisis wasn't caused by Brexit. It has been caused by buy-to-let, help-to-buy and right-to-buy, the biggest damage made under Blair's NuLabour. Housing is no longer a market and even if you could guess a price dip, buy-to-let and foreign speculators will out gun you.

self fulfilling prophecy if you print it enough

Propaganda is propaganda.

nope.

What a mug, value will shoot up
