Malfunctioning equipment injured three employees Friday at a York County distillery, prompting a response from local firefighters and the county’s hazmat team, the company said. “An unexpected pressurized release of a non-toxic, non-hazardous solution” happened around 10 a.m. at Holy Water Distillery, on the 500 block of Industrial Drive in Fairview Township, York County, according to a news release from the distillery.

The injured employees received immediate medical attention, the distillery said. Two of the employees have been released from the hospital as of Friday afternoon., but the distillery said Friday afternoon that “the malfunction did not result in an explosion or fire, nor was there physical damage to the facility.”

The distillery said, “We thank our local first responders for their immediate attention to our employees, as our staff’s care and recovery are our first priority.”
