A legacy New Jersey bus company will end commuter bus service next month after ridership fails to return after the coronavirus pandemic.

, said Jonathan DeCamp, vice president and chief operating officer of the Essex County-based bus company.

But that aid has run out and the company can’t keep running that service at a loss, meaning the last commuter routes will be run on April 2, he said. Pre-COVID, DeCamp ran seven commuter routes; three of them returned to service on abbreviated schedules.

The pandemic dealt small mom and pop bus companies a double blow by crippling the charter industry and commuter service. This is very sad news. I have taken the bus into the city several times in the past couple of months.

'Used to Reside within Walking Distance to the First Site located on Allwood Road in Clifton, N.J. before DeCamp relocated to the Newark/ Bloomfield Border. First Started Riding the DeCamp Bus from Route 3. The Ride was always much Smoother than N.J.Transit, Prices Expensive.

Itsjoeco will probably be on top 10 yrs from now. Just sayin’
