The Navotas City government was recognized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority for being one of the local government units that showed excellence in the digitalization and simplification of business permit and licensing procedures, and fully setting up an electronic Business One-Stop Shop that provide convenience to residents.
The award was given to the city following an inspection and evaluation conducted by ARTA Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation Office . It added that digitalization of government processes ensures that red tape and corruption during transactions would be minimized, if not eliminated. Perez also lauded the local government for its Construction One-Stop Shop that gives a quick and and easy way of obtaining construction and occupancy documents in the city.
