Gas company SGN will be conducting a routine test of its warning siren at its Liquified Natural Gas site in Blochairn Road, Provan, on Thursday, April 20.The warning siren test will be carried out from 10am next Thursday and will last around an hour. The gas company carries out these tests at all of its LNG sites every six months and will issue a letter notifying residents and businesses beforehand.

"While the test scheduled at 10am on Thursday, April 20, is routine and nothing to be concerned about, it’s important nearby residents and businesses are familiar with the sound of the siren and know what they need to do in case a real incident ever takes place.
