The Hershey Company said the acquisition is designed to enable the company to sustain strong growth for its SkinnyPop brand by strengthening internal supply chain capabilities.The Hershey Company also said that these new facilities will also enable more flexibility across its salty snacks supply chain network. A year ago, The Hershey Company acquired Dot’s Homestyle Pretzels to expand its salty snacks manufacturing capabilities.

The acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals. The Hershey Company didn’t say when the purchase was expected to be completed. Terms of the agreement weren’t disclosed.
