BREAKING: 2.2 million South East Water customers across Kent and Sussex will face a hose pipe ban from Monday, June 26th due to record demand levels.

Homes across Kent and Sussex will face restrictions on their water usage due to record levels of demand, it has been announced.

South East Water, which has 2.2million customers, said it had ‘no choice’ but to introduce a hose pipe and sprinkler ban.The company posted on its website this morning: ‘We’re sorry to our customers that have water supply issues. ‘We’re continuing to try and build up our treated water levels by introducing a hosepipe ban in Kent and Sussex.’

It added: ‘Despite asking for customers help to use water for essential uses only, regrettably we’ve now been left with no choice.’
