A newborn left at a business in Plano on Wednesday afternoon is in good condition at a Dallas hospital, police said Thursday.

Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, police were notified that the newborn — just hours old — had been left near the 600 Block of North Central Expressway.Police said patrol units and members of the department’s family violence unit responded to the call and that Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the child to Dallas.Authorities identified the mother and father of the child and said the parents sought help at the business because they were unable to care for the baby. An investigation is ongoing.
