Compass Datacenters and Schneider Electric are teaming up to build a plant south of Dallas that will produce data center components.

announced it was selling to Brookfield Infrastructure Partners L.P. and the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in a deal valued at more than $5 billion.Schneider Electric is an international company based in France. Its North American subsidiary is headquartered in Massachusetts north of Boston.The company also has an operation in Carrollton. In 2022, it announced plans for a $100 million plant in El Paso that will be its largest U.S. manufacturing operation.

Aamir Paul, North America president of Schneider Electric, said the Red Oak plant will allow both companies to integrate their supply chain networks. The data center business is seeing huge growth in North Texas and worldwide. Compass and Schneider said their partnership on the new plant will dramatically reduce time to produce and ship needed equipment.“We are industry leaders because our manufacturing and integration facilities provide the space, technology, and agility to enhance production velocity while nurturing novel business models, such as this partnership with Compass,” Paul said in a statement.
