Over the years, Malaysia has made considerable impacts on the global scale. Recently, Bolehland ranked as the second-best country in SEA for digitalisation. According to the ranking, Malaysia scored 1495 points, behind only Singapore.

Based on an analysis from the Robocash Group, The country scored the highest points in penetration of digital investments, e-commerce and the Internet. The study also ranks Malaysia’s share of unique fintech users and the size of YouTube's audience. In addition, the study involves 6 South-East Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines. It also assesses 22 parameters through the method of data normalisation. Robocash Group analyst explains:

"While Singapore is the leader of the ranking, Malaysia is quite close to it in terms of digitalization. It enjoys a well-deserved reputation as the preferred choice for regional and global companies. In Malaysia, $28 billion of direct foreign investment was approved in 2022, which is 15% more than in the same period of 2021. Most of this private investment is intended for the technology sector, turning the country into a digital hub.
