Canadian lithium miner Patriot Battery Metals Inc. has reeled in a $109-million strategic investment from a top global lithium producer, as it lays claim to one of the largest deposits of the battery metal in North America.

“The additional funding will allow us to more aggressively advance the Corvette Property through drilling, permitting, study work and more.” The company released its maiden resource estimate for a portion of the property, known as CV5, on July 30. It determined the site contains 109 megatons of lithium pegmatite with an average grade of 1.42 per cent lithium oxide.
