As well, Calgary’s median income is higher due to its larger share of corporate headquarters, particularly for oil and gas companies. Still, incomes are similar. Alberta government statistics show the median household income in Edmonton was about $112,000 in 2020, the latest data available. In Calgary, the median income was about $118,000.
