4th Quarter Vintage offers a wider selection of pants and artwork in a bigger store on 33rd St West, and is running a street market four times a year

We have a special event licence and we got that for being a community-friendly event, free for all ages and by promoting sustainability and recycling by selling clothes and keeping stuff out of the landfill. We’re also promoting small business and young entrepreneurs who are the majority of our vendors — they’ve had great success so far. I think our last event attracted at least 300 to 500 people. We’re also hoping to do an indoor event sometime before Christmas.

The last Dated and Faded outdoor market on July 9, 2023 that Kyle and Tina Marud held outside their 4th Quarter Vintage Store on 33rd Street West. It’s called the Key Master and it holds nine prizes ranging from $200 to $500. You get five plays for $5 or if you leave a 5-star Google review you can play for free. The key has to go through the hole that pulls the prize off and we’ve had six winners so far.I’d say our main seller is always T-shirts, no matter what time of year.

At our outdoor market, we also do a $10 hat pile. There are about 300 to 400 hats, all $10 each. They’re all mostly local companies and stuff from the ’80s. A lot of people come and sift through and they find something that has a connection with a family member or to themselves, or just a memorable company from town. There have been a lot of people who have found something that meant something to them that they didn’t expect to find in there. It’s pretty fun.

We’re adding new stock every day we’re open. Thursday through Sunday I’m pretty much tagging and putting stuff out. I think at our current pace we sell 200 to 300 items a month. I’m constantly putting out new stuff. Today I’ve got about 35 items going out. This weekend I’ll probably end up putting out about 100.I purchase this building from Century 21 real estate. They purchased it in 1992 and it was originally a Bank of Montreal.
