The Hunterdon County rivals will meet again on Sept. 21.

“I think we’ll be really motivated. Especially with it called in the last few minutes, we’re going to come out very motivated,” North Hunterdon senior Mack Metcalf said.

In the final seconds of regulation, Voorhees senior forward Alessio De Angelis sent in a cross from the right wing that went just over the head of sophomore Jose Reyes, who was in front of goal.The Vikings played with the wind at their back in the first OT and forced North Hunterdon into some difficult clearances and, in spite of playing against the wind in the second OT, probably came closest to finding a winner on a free kick.

“The long throw we had with Zeke, he does track, he throws javelin. His long throws are phenomenal,” Kinsky said. “It’s something we work on as a team.”
