The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 26,091.95, up 0.2 per cent. The broad-based S&P 500 edged up 0.1 per cent to 2,796.11, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index gained 0.4 per cent to 7,554.46.
