European stocks decreased Wednesday, as the Stoxx Europe 600 index SXXP, -0.32% closed down 0.32% to 453.94.

Shares of health care/life sciences firm Bayer AG BAYN, -4.63% and retail company Ocado Group PLC OCDO, -4.07% weakened 4.6% and 4.1%, respectively. Shares of industrial goods firm Vestas Wind Systems A/S VWS, +5.31% and insurance company Aviva PLC AV, +4.57% gained 5.3% and 4.6%, respectively.
