The group will be conducting a survey to obtain up to date information about parking capacity for the town

Additional car parking could be put in place in a Nottinghamshire town after concerns of limited spaces. In October, the Bingham Car Park Strategy Group will be meeting to discuss recommendations by Rushcliffe Borough Council and Bingham Town Council for new parking locations.

The working group will see the Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Environment and Safety, Councillor Rob Inglis, join ward members for Bingham, Councillor Rowan Bird from Bingham, Town Council and RBC Leader and Nottinghamshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment, Councillor Neil Clarke, to action the points in the coming months.

Councillor Inglis added: “This working group with the Town and County Councils will take these next steps to better understand the town’s parking situation. Working in partnership we will prepare a parking strategy for Bingham, including short term alternatives to any new long stay car park.
