Asia-Pacific stocks mostly tumbled Monday, Oct. 2, the Japanese market showing a third day of decreases.
Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index STI, -0.27% weakened 0.2% to 3,211.40, while China's Shanghai Stock Exchange was closed. The S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index XJO, -0.22% of Australian stocks declined 0.2% to 7,033.20, while South Korea's Korea Exchange was closed. Shares of semiconductors firm Advantest Corp 6857, +2.87% and postal service company Japan Post Holdings 6178, +2.80% added 2.9% and 2.8%, respectively.
