Vegan offerings are more common, but a vegan delicatessen? A new place on Detroit Avenue in Lakewood will focus on just that. Owner Todd Kronika isn’t using meat substitutes; rather, he wants to focus on vegetables and other fresh foods for the concept. Les Dames d’Escoffier’s Cleveland chapter is hosting a benefit cocktail dinner featuring products from Spiritless, a female-owned Kentucky company. A Dame Fine dinner will be at 111 Bistro in Medina. The organization promotes women in the culinary industry:Alost 1,000 people attended the annual foodie benefit Taste of the Browns, which benefits Greater Cleveland Food Bank. It raised $350,000 - up from $270,000 last year.
