U.S. stock index futures advanced early Tuesday after strong results from several blue chip companies, even as Treasury yields began to nudge higher.

How are stock-index futures trading On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA fell 191 points, or 0.58%, to 32936, the S&P 500 SPX declined 7 points, or 0.17%, to 4217, while the Nasdaq Composite COMP gained 35 points, or 0.27%, to 13018.

After the close, Microsoft MSFT, +0.81%, Alphabet GOOGL, +0.66%, Visa V, -0.79% and Texas Instruments TXN, -1.01% will release their earnings. The 10-year Treasury yield BX:TMUBMUSD10Y is edging slightly higher to 4.854%, after an earlier decline to 4.817%. That decline is coming off a 16-year high above 5% at the start of the week.

“As we hit 5% the famous and not so famous buyers seemed to come out of the woodwork,” said Jim Reid, strategist at Deutsche Bank.
