'These are all hard working people that have spent many years serving the great people of Accrington'

A stall holder at Accrington Market says traders have been left with an uncertain future- and some others are set to leave amid redevelopment plans.

Writing on Facebook, Tracy Ashby of Smiths Fruiterers said: "We have been on Accrington outdoor market for 56 years. In 7 weeks time we are being moved in front of the market hall for 18 months while the work on the market is being done. According to Tracy, some stall holders are already planning to close up as a result. She added: "These are all hard working people that have spent many years serving the great people of Accrington."
