EFF protests in Durban over poor services via SABCNewsOnline

s in Durban are no better than the living conditions of black people under apartheid.

The EFF is leading a protest in the Mayville, Cato Manor and Chesterville area of Durban against poor service delivery. Dlamini is expected to hand over a memorandum to a representative of the eThekwini municipality later. He says in the informal settlements people are living among raw sewerage, while water and electricity provision is lacking.

“So we invite all of them to come out in their numbers and join us on the street, on the picket line. Because the only way is to fight on the picket line rather than to complain when there is no service and the current government has decided to neglect them. So the current government and the apartheid government in terms of the living conditions of those people are the same,” says Dlamini.
