Shares of CarGurus Inc.

rose more than 6% in the extended session Tuesday after the online car marketplace reported third-quarter results that were above Wall Street expectations. CarGurus earned $22.3 million, or 17 cents a share, in the quarter, compared with $107 million, or 14 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted for one-time items, the company earned 34 cents a share. Revenue dropped 49% to $219.4 million.
