A new report from a trading platform has shed light on Americans' views on investing as a means of becoming 'financially free.'

About 30 percent of people would prefer relying on investments as a reliable source of income nationally.

In getting into the nitty-gritty state level, however, a total of 71 percent of Pennsylvanians would rather invest than work a full-time job. This, says the report, is 26 percentage points more than neighboring states such s West Virginia, where only 45 percent of residents would do the same
