The awards are organised by Valley at Work

The finalists have been announced for the 14th Rossendale Business Awards, including a teenage entrepreneur who is a finalist in three categories.

The 18 trophies will be awarded on Saturday, December 9, at The Ashcroft in Whitworth, including the prestigious Valley at Work bespoke glass trophy designed by Alexis Valentine which is presented to the most inspiring business, person or organisation. , which connects local businesses. Chair Ruth Winter said: “We received 270 nominations for different businesses, large and small, sole trader to not-for-profit and I want to thank everyone for nominating.“The standard was very high and we had a lot of new businesses nominated and we look forward to seeing their success in the coming years. Our youngest finalist is Dotty Davies and her time, effort and commitment to helping others shone through and she is a finalist in three categories.

“Dotty and the Roverway Scouts will also be attending the evening celebration to hold a raffle to raise funds for an expedition to Norway.” Each finalist is awarded a ticket, for additional tickets, costing £35 including a hot buffet meal, email chair@valleyatwork.co.
