Plans to extend a business park could generate hundreds of jobs close to a Nottinghamshire town. A huge area of farmland on the Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire border near Sutton-in-Ashfield would be transformed into an employment complex that would create around 496 jobs, if approved by Ashfield and Bolsover District Councils.
Although the potential occupiers of the planned buildings are not outlined in planning documents, consultants Q+A Planning Ltd said hundreds of varied jobs would be created. This would range from entry-level posts to managerial, administrative and high-tech roles in computing, software and robotics, it said.It added the number of jobs created could be more than 500 if the site was used for manufacturing.
