China stops purchase of Canadian canola seeds

The ongoing trade dispute that started earlier this month when China revoked the permit of a major Canadian exporter is also hitting canola farmers, who are grappling with lower prices and delayed shipments.

All of the council's members that export canola from Canada to China have reported that Chinese importers are currently unwilling to purchase their product, Innes said. Council members include Viterra Inc., Louis Dreyfus Company, Cargill Ltd. and Parrish & Heimbecker Ltd. "It's very difficult to replace a market that takes as much as China takes," said Innes. In 2018, canola seed exports to China were worth $2.8 billion, according to the council.

China need lots of agriculture products, Canada has to resist and change target market temporarily.

Change target market to Middle East, specially IRAN , don't worry about sanctions, it's agriculture sector, one of the biggest exporter to IRAN in this sector is US.

As Canadians we should BOYCOTTING any and all products from China! Starting NOW !

Why? Because of our respected prime minister!!!

What would happen if we all isolated China? I know we like the cheap manufacturing from there but I’m sick of the way they treat people, animals and the planet. They are single-handedly bringing species into extinction. I wish we could all close our doors to their products! 🤬

Well fuck...

Yet taxpayer funded CBC, which owns hockeynight, are still getting revenue to advertise huawei phones. Isn't this part of the issues with the arrest of their executive MengWanzhou How ironic. Way to go cafreeland, JustinTrudeau
