Winners will be announced on April 30 at Business Disability Forum’s Disability Smart Awards 2024 in London.

Clootie McToot Dumplings has been shortlisted for Small Business Award at the DWP Disability Confident Awards.

Founder Michelle Maddox was motivated to start her business and to help support disabled employment by her children, with three having a disability. From beginning in her kitchen making a family recipe for her son’s school fair, Michelle now has her Make Your Own Clootie Dumpling kits sold in John Lewis.

All nominees are part of the Government’s Disability Confident scheme which promotes and provides resources for businesses to think differently about disability so they can recruit, retain and develop disabled talent.
