This is why it was the chief of staff that did it, so she wouldn’s take the hit. I think people are still going to love her," Jones continued.

Where’s the proof? Charges were mostly likely dropped so the Feds would pick up the tab as Mail Fraud. If they do, it’s a smart move to save city cash. In addition, Smollett is expected to reimburse the city for the investigation or more charges will be pending.
