Jose de Jesus Velazquez, 35, and Juan Carlos Velazquez-Flores, 27, have been charged with continuous trafficking of persons.

Two half-brothers who own a transportation company are accused of taking advantage of Mexican immigrants by forcing them to drive long hours with no pay. San Antonio police spokesman Rene Guzman said authorities received a tip in 2023 through a national trafficking hotline. Velazquez and Velazquez-Flores recruited the immigrants to work for the brothers’ company, VSR Transportation, according to police.
