DALLAS — Foxtrot Market, a specialty grocer and cafe with four locations in Dallas and numerous others across the country, is shutting down all of its stores,The closure affects 33 Foxtrot markets, along with two of the company's Dom's Kitchen & Market locations, nationwide. The shutdown went into effect Tuesday, and Foxtrot's website already appeared to be down.
In Dallas, Foxtrot, which also included an offering of wine and coffee, had locations in Uptown, Knox-Henderson, Greenville Avenue and Snider Plaza, near SMU. "We explored many avenues to continue the business but found no viable option despite good faith and exhaustive efforts," the company said in an announcement on its social media Tuesday morning."This decision has not been made lightly, and we understand the impact it will have on you, our loyal customers, as well as our dedicated team members."Foxtrot, which was based in Chicago, also had locations in Washington D.C. and Austin.
"It has been our highest honor to elevate the everyday and create a remarkable shopping experience for people who love food as much as we do," Foxtrot's announcement said."It has been a privilege serving you and being a part of your everyday lives." The news comes about five months after the Dom's Kitchen and Market and Foxtrot announced their merger in November.
