Social Services Minister Amanda Rishworth says the government is working hard to make energy supply consistent and avoid blackouts, as a new report says there is an increase in reliability risks in Victoria, NSW and South Australia.The Australian Energy Market Operator released a report forecasting the reliability risks.

For Victoria, reliability risks would increase until 2027-28 due to “mothballed generators in South Australia and transmission limitation affecting flows into Melbourne”.In South Australia, reliability risks will go into 2026-27 due to the “advised delay of Project EnergyConnect Stage 2”.Rishworth told Nine’s Today program this morning the government was working from the Coalition’s decade of failed energy policies.
