A 32-year-old man was arrested for business robbery in Cape Town, Western Cape police said in a statement on Monday.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana said the complainant received a call from the suspect who informed him that he was a traffic officer and needed to get a ring from the shop in Prestwich street Cape Town on Sunday morning. “The complainant went to the shop and a man who was dressed in a traffic uniform arrived. The victim opened the door and two other men forced the door open. The suspects attacked the victim and hit him with an unknown object in his head,” said Rwexana.The preliminary investigation led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man who was driving one of the three vehicles. He is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court soon.
