The next step is a vote by Northern and Copperfin Credit Union members starting June 3.

THUNDER BAY — Two credit unions in Northern Ontario have taken an important step toward a proposed merger.

This clears the way for members of the two organizations to vote on whether they want to proceed with the merger.For each ballot that's cast, the credit unions promise to donate one dollar to support organizations that combat food insecurity. The credit unions previously indicated they hope to complete the amalgamation process by January 2025.
