A Las Vegas-based company has recalled some sunscreen over possible mold contamination.

Suntegrity initiated a voluntary recall of nine lots of its Impeccable Skin Sunscreen Foundation , according to an announcement published by the Food and Drug Administration.

The issue stems from the discovery of a higher mold count in some tubes that developed post-release, from the species Aspergillus Sydowii. The FDA says this mold could cause an allergic reaction on the skin or eye.that all batches passed microbiological testing when initially released for sale, but it wasn't until a customer reported a strong odor that they were re-tested.

No reactions have been reported, but as a precaution, Suntegrity has recalled lots 115BU, 107IV, 107NU, 109NU, 117BU, 113SA, 114SA, 106BR, and 101MO.Anyone who purchased a tube from Suntegrity directly or via Amazon can email the company with proof of purchase to receive a refund. Those who bought a tube from a retailer could either contact Suntegrity or the store for a refund.
