This semidetached mansion is just one of many Georgetown residences that have housed important people. But size, together with ownership, sets the property apart from most of its neighbors. The lot spans a full block , and the house has four finished levels and 5,300 square feet.

Is there a listing we should know about?More recent owners include author Walter Isaacson and his wife, lawyer Cathy Wright, who bought it in 2003. Isaacson is best known for his biographies of Steve Jobs and Elon Musk , and for heading CNN, Time and the Aspen Institute.

Since then, a recently completed renovation included the removal of 34 radiators and the addition of a HVAC system and other functional and cosmetic upgrades. Upstairs, on the main level, a dining or family room is connected to an all-white galley kitchen with Seimatic cabinetry and Gaggenau appliances. The sunroom, with 12-foot ceiling, is connected to a patio. Next to the dining room and kitchen is a family room or library with two walls of built-in bookshelves and double-pane French doors to the garden. A living room connects to an outdoor balcony above the front door. There is also a powder room.
