A Short North business manager and Columbus pastor are planning to have a presence in the Short North overnight this weekend to make it clear crime is not welco

me in the community.

Starting this Friday into Saturday morning from about midnight until 2 a.m., Pastor Parker and Jacob Gaus, general manager of Goody Boy are planning to walk the streets of the Short North and hand out sunglasses and crime prevention materials. They decided something needs to be done after "There’s a community that lives behind us," Gaus said. "A community that lives across the street from us. Columbus is growing daily. You just want to see everybody go home at the end of the night whether it’s a friend, a stranger, you don’t want to see nothing happen to anybody down here."
