Samsung has successfully built a Compute Express Link™ (CXL™) infrastructure certified by Red Hat for the first time in industry.

Electronics announced today the successful construction of the industry’s first Compute Express Link infrastructure certified by Red Hat, a leading provider of open-source solutions.

Products verified by Samsung through the new infrastructure can be immediately submitted for registration with Red Hat, streamlining product development cycles for both Samsung and its customers. CXL is a high-speed interconnect standard designed to improve communication between various data center components, including CPUs, GPUs, and memory devices.

The recent boom in artificial intelligence has driven the need for fundamental changes in server architecture. Data centers are facing new operational challenges due to the massive surge in data processing. CXL technology addresses this challenge by providing a more efficient way to manage data flow within servers.
