The Umicore plant broke ground in 2023, now the company says a strategic review has been launched with the intent to maximize future business value in battery materials.

Umicore Rechargeable Battery Materials Inc. confirmed Friday its battery components plant in Loyalist Township is delaying construction, citing slowing EV sales.
