Chief Phakamisa Tyali says communities in the countryside hardly access critical services.

The Black Hawk Foundation has joined hands with the AmaMpondomise Traditional Council and others to render primary healthcare services to the community of Nomhala in Tsolo in the Eastern Cape. This is part of the organisation’s Women’s Month celebrations.

AmaMpondomise’s Professionals including doctors, lawyers and social workers dedicated their time to support the residents. Chief Tyali says, “We make sure that when the doctors come here, they have got the medication that they can serve to the people after they have consulted with them and advice about whatever sicknesses that they suffer from, it has helped a lot in terms of increasing the life span.”

The Black Hawk Foundation’s Chairperson, Dr Nonelwa Sotsu says, “To have talks about conditions affecting specifically women, to teach them about cervical cancer, to empower them and give them knowledge. How can they approach different medical conditions and screen them for those conditions and also empower them through education.
