Police are investigating a deadly shooting inside a SODO nightclub that happened over the weekend.

Police investigate a deadly shooting inside a SODO nightclub that happened around 3 a.m. on Aug. 17, 2024, on the 1900 block of First Avenue South. Officers found a 22-year-old man who was shot several times and was later pronounced dead at Harborview Medical Center.

"They will go at all hours of the night, not to mention your street racing and doing in the middle of the street," Mike Carr said. The nightclub had a sign on the building that read, "The Comeback Seattle." However, in a quick online search, KOMO News discovered The Comeback Seattle was no longer in operation.KOMO News could not locate a building owner, but nearby businesses said the bar is used as an event space that private companies rent out.

"My sister called me while I was on vacation and said somebody got murdered out here or shot at," said Andrew Ross, who works at a cannabis store next to the club. "This is not the first time someone has been shot outside that club. We have found bullets and casings outside our business." Witnesses in the area told KOMO News there was a five-minute delay between the shooting and when someone called 911.

Police said the 22-year-old was shot inside the nightclub by an "unidentified suspect or suspects." Police added that the shooter left before officers arrived and only nightclub security was there once officers responded.
