News of another shooting on the block of 12th Avenue South and South Jackson Street came as no surprise to Henry Ku, who owns a restaurant on the corner.

This photo shows a business in the Little Saigon neighborhood of Seattle's Chinatown International District. Many residents and business owners in the neighborhood have raised public safety concerns regarding the area near 12th Avenue and Jackson Street.

“It’s not about the druggies at all. Of course, they should have cared for them, but you have to get the big dogs, the ones that are profiting.” 12th and Jackson, and other drug hot spots, have proven to be a stubborn issue for Seattle city leaders. “It focuses on specific areas in the city where there is known, established drug-related activity," Davison said.
